The Arizona - Sonora Desert Museum is a world-renowned zoo, natural history museum and botanical garden, all in one place. The Museum offers interpretive displays of living animals and plants native to the Sonoran Desert - alive and in their natural desert settings.
The Etherton Gallery, founded in 1981, specializes in 19th, 20th Century and Contemporary Fine Photography. As one of the Southwest's premier galleries, its inventory incorporates museum quality works including turn-of-the-century western American ethnographic and landscape photographs.
The saguaro has been described as the monarch of the Sonoran Desert, as a prickly horror, as the supreme symbol of the American Southwest, and as a plant with personality. Nowhere is the saguaro more celebrated than it is here.
